About Ashok and Mary
Ashok, son of Qamar Jalalabadi was born in India and came from a Hindu background. When he left India, he took up teaching contracts in Tanzania and Zambia.
Mary was born in England and joined V.S.O in 1971, to teach Agriculture in Zambia. She was posted to the same school as Ashok. From the very first day they met, they had an amazing connection, even though they were from totally different cultures. They married a year later; which brought interesting challenges to both
families!
Mary came into relationship with Jesus in 1979, while still in Zambia and her life changed dramatically!
This caused quite a negative reaction from Ashok and he gave her a hard time for just over a year. It was one of the most challenging years of her Christian walk.

A few days after moving to Zimbabwe in 1980, Ashok, committed his life to Christ and a miraculous transformation took place.
Following Ashok's conversion, the couple began to worship at a local Baptist church, responded to a call for full-time service and were soon a part of the ministry team.
Over the years, they have pastored and ministered in 4 different fellowships in Zimbabwe and England and have seen God work amazing transformations in people's lives.
Ashok's vision is to train and release the saints for the work of the ministry.
Mary's vision is to bring freedom, wholeness and restoration to those who are spiritually bound, through sharing the truth of God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Mary and Ashok have three children: Nalini, Samuel and Hannah and two Grandchildren. Their daughters are both married to godly men.
